More About Cameron

Cameron’s marketing career started with a focus on content strategy and eventually shifted into a team supervisor role at agencies based out of Kansas City. His journey into marketing is backed by academic credentials in Communications. He earned both his B.S. in Organizational Communication and his M.A. in Communication from Missouri State University, where he conducted research on discourse rhetoric and nonprofit organization communications.

Cameron occasionally teaches public speaking courses at Missouri State as an adjunct instructor. This keeps his routine exciting, and helps expand his perspective in the world of content marketing.

What he loves most about his job is using his passion for storytelling to help local brands. “I have always loved telling stories and crafting messages,” he shares. “Writing has always been something I gravitated towards.”

Although he’s originally from Kansas City, Cameron has grown to love Springfield, and has a passion for telling the stories of our local businesses here in town. The opportunity to write for businesses impacting people both nationally and in his own backyard is what makes the work meaningful.

A big reader with a love for fantasy and sci-fi (bonus points if dragons are involved), some of his recent favorites include Buffalo Hunter Hunter, Project Hail Mary, Babel, Mistborn, and The Farseer Trilogy series. He’s also a big sports fan, and usually has a basketball, football, or hockey game on in the background.
